Thoughts and prayers won't save you.
Ruth and Sarah haven't seen each other in four years.
During their separation, Ruth has spent her time how young ladies are supposed to. Reading her bible, keeping the Reverend's house tidy, and most importantly trying to figure out God's plan for her life.
When Sarah's dad has a vision from God that it's time to leave the suburbs of Chicago and return to the hills of eastern Kentucky, the former best friends must bridge the gap time and distance left. Tasked with organizing a memorial for the Reverend's late wife, the girls are unprepared for the emotions their reunion ignites and start questioning what they've been taught about faith, family, and friendship.
But when Ruth learns God's plan isn't what she wants and Sarah's new relationship takes a dangerous turn, the girls decide it's time to take control of their own lives, even if it means leaving everything they know behind.
